The Zaragoza Hermanos (Brothers) company was originally established in Mexico in 1936 by brothers Rafael and Pedro Zaragoza Vizcarra. As the company grew, it changed its name to Lecheria Zaragoza (Zaragoza Dairy) until by the late 1970s the company was the largest dairy in Mexico with over 1,500 cows.
In 1970 brothers Jorge and Pedro Zaragoza Fuentes took charge of the company at which time the Grupo Agroindustrial Zaragoza was founded. Today the company has headquarters in five Mexican cities, operates in 13 northern Mexico states and includes over 30 individual companies all involved mostly in milk production. The Grupo Agroindustrial Zaragoza provides jobs to more than 6,500 workers across the country, producing over 1 million liters of milk each day.
In addition to his involvement with Grupo Agroindustrial Zaragoza, Pedro Zaragoza Fuentes held the concession for Corona beer until 2006; is the owner of two sports stadiums in Juarez; owns a number of leisure centers along the border; and over 80 gasoline stations in Juarez.
